Prime Minister Narendra Modi's post congratulating the Indian cricket team for defeating Pakistan in the Asia Cup final has gone viral with nearly 1.10 lakh reposts and 28.1 million impressions with the traction increasing every second. India, who registered a five-wicket win in Dubai on Sunday, defeated their bitter rivals not once but thrice in this multi-nation tournament.

"Operation Sindoor on the games field. Outcome is the same - India wins! Congrats to our cricketers," PM Modi posted on X.

Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav was full of praise for his team's performance in the tournament. While speaking to the reporters, Suryakumar also reacted to the Prime Minister's tweet after India's win.

On PM Modi's post on X, Yadav said, "It feels good when the country's leader himself bats on the front foot; it felt like he took the strike and scored runs. It was great to see, and when the sir is standing in front, then definitely the players will play freely."

"The most important thing is that the whole country is celebrating. When we go back (to India), it will feel good, and we will get more inspiration and motivation to do well."

During the India-Pakistan match in the Super Fours stage, Pakistan's Haris Rauf had made a 'plane down' gesture towards Indian fans - referring to his country's baseless claims of downing Indian jets during Operation Sindoor. In response, Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah made a similar gesture after taking Rauf's wicket, a clip which quickly went viral online.
