PM Modi Birthday: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate a mega textile park in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar area on September 17. The event assumes significance as it will coincide with PM Modi’s 75th birthday. This will be the fifth such instance when PM Modi marked his birthday celebrations through such social outreach programmes.

The project, which will be launched by PM Modi on September 17,  will be set up at the Bhensola village in Badnawar tehsil of Dhar under the PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) scheme.

Past Events On PM Modi’s Birthday:

Last year, Prime Minister Modi celebrated his birthday by visiting Bhubaneshwar in Odisha and launching a women-centric scheme. He also met the beneficiaries of the PM Awas Yojana. 

In 2023, he launched the PM Vishwakarma Yojana on his birthday to empower artisans and craftsmen through skill development. He also unveiled the India International Convention and Expo Centre, as well as extended the Delhi Airport Express metro line. 

In 2022, PM Modi decided to celebrate his birthday with a historic environmental initiative. He released cheetahs from Namibia into the Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh as part of the Cheetah Reintroduction Project. It is the world’s first intercontinental large carnivore translocation initiative undertaken by India.

In 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he oversaw the distribution of the vaccine on his birthday. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday celebrations were halted, and focus was placed on the distribution of essential resources to all those affected by the pandemic.

BJP To Organise Seva Parv On PM Modi’s Birthday:

This year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will oversee the launch of the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan, a nationwide healthcare mission to strengthen medical facilities for women and children. As a part of the initiative, 75,000 health camps will be organised at the Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, Community Health Centres, and other healthcare facilities.

Besides this, the party workers have decided to organise the following programs as part of the Seva Pakhwada:

  • BJP’s youth wing, Yuva Morcha, will simultaneously organise the 'Namo Yuva Run' across 75 cities, expecting over 10,000 participants at each event.

  • The Seva Pakhwada will feature blood donation camps across 1,000 districts on September 17, and subsequently will feature cleanliness drives at schools, hospitals, transportation hubs, temples, and parks.

  • The Ministry of Culture will organise a Painting Competition on the theme of Viksit Bharat, aiming to link students with the vision of PM Modi’s “Viksit Bharat 2047”.

The programs will start on the birthday of Narendra Modi, September 17, and will conclude on the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, October 2.
