PM Narendra Modi on Thursday reached Shirdi as a part of his day-long visit to the state of Maharashtra. He performed puja at Saibaba Samadhi Temple. Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais, CM Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis accompanied the PM during the visit.
He will inaugurate the new Darshan Queue Complex at the temple. During his visit to Maharashtra, the PM will launch multiple development projects worth Rs 7500 crore in the state. Later today, in Goa, he will inaugurate the 37th National Games at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Margao and also address athletes taking part in the Games.

The PM will launch the following projects/schemes:
1. Shirdi temple's new Darhan Queue Complex with a seating capacity of more than 10,000 devotees.
2. Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana to benefit more than 86 lakh beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in the state.
3. Other projects including the opening of an Ayush hospital at Ahmednagar Civil Hospital, the electrification of the Kurduwadi-Latur road railway section spanning 186 km, the expansion to four lanes of the Sangli to Borgaon section of NH-166 (package-I), and the introduction of supplementary amenities at the Manmad Terminal of the Indian Oil Corporation Limited, among other projects.
Later in the day, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the 37th national games in Goa today. He will also address the athletes participating in the event.
The Games will be held from October 26 to November 9, and more than 10,000 athletes will compete in over 43 sports disciplines across 28 venues.
