The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has written to the Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, asking him to take immediate action on the demands of the Bundeli community, who have been protesting for better health services in the region. The PMO has also asked the Chief Secretary to inform the PMO and the protesters about the steps taken.
The PMO’s letter came after the Bundeli community members sent letters written with blood to the Prime Minister on the 99th birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, seeking his attention to their plight.
Tara Patkar Bundelkhandi, the convenor of Bundeli Samaj, said he received the letter from the PMO on January 10, in which Section Officer Shiksha Sharma conveyed the PMO’s directions.
