Pollution levels have remained high in Delhi and the entire NCR over the past few days, prompting the government to implement several measures to control the situation. Recently, Delhi’s Environment Minister, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, announced that the 'No PUC-No Fuel' policy will continue to be enforced in the national capital. Under this rule, vehicles without a valid Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUCC) will not be allowed to refuel. What Was Delhi Govt’s Announcement On PUC?
The Delhi government has announced that even after the removal of Graph-4 in Delhi, the 'No PUC, No Fuel' policy will remain in effect. Under this mandate, petrol pumps across the capital are prohibited from dispensing fuel to any vehicle that does not possess a valid PUC certificate.The government has emphasised that ensuring every vehicle operating in Delhi holds a valid PUCC certificate is the most effective method to control emissions.

How To Get Information On Expiry Of PUC Certificate
If your vehicle's pollution certificate is about to expire, you will find this information on the pollution certificate itself. You can also find this information online. You can visit the Transport Department's official website and enter your vehicle's pollution certificate number to obtain information about the pollution certificate.
The government clarified its stance that negligence regarding PUCC standards will no longer be treated as a simple violation but will be considered a serious offence.

How To Obtain PUC Certificate: Check Steps

How Much Does Obtaining A PUC Certificate Cost
The cost of obtaining a pollution certificate depends on the vehicle and the centre. The cost also depends on the validity period of the certificate. Generally, pollution certificates for all types of vehicles are issued for a period ranging from three months to one year. The cost can range from Rs 60 to Rs 125.
