Pooja Khedkar IAS Rank, Disability, And Other Info

- Pooja Khedkar is a 2022 batch IAS officer. According to an official cited by news agency PTI, she allegedly submitted fake certificates to claim concessions meant for OBC non-creamy layer and visually impaired candidates in the civil services examination. She also submitted a mental illness certificate, the official informed.

- The official said that Pooja's father and former state government officer Dilip Khedkar declared owning a property worth Rs 40 crore while contesting the recent Lok Sabha election. This raises doubt over Pooja's non-creamy layer status as the parental income ceiling set for a person belonging to the category is Rs 8 lakh per annum.

- Reports suggest that Pooja secured an All India Rank (AIR) of 841 in the UPSC exam.

- The trainee IAS stoked a controversy when she used her private Audi car with a red-blue beacon light and a VIP number plate.

- Pooja's transfer from Pune to Washim resulted from a report submitted by Pune District Collector Dr Suhas Diwase to the Chief Secretary of Maharashtra. In his report, Diwase said that Pooja sought a separate cabin, a residential quarter, a car, and a peon before even assuming charge as a probationary IAS.

- As per the official cited by PTI, in April 2022, Pooja Khedkar was asked to report to AIIMS Delhi for the verification of her disability certificate, but she did not do so, citing a COVID-19 infection.
