In a shocking turn of events, the Delhi High Court proceedings before the Chief Justice were disrupted thrice after porn videos and music were played during a hearing.

The obscene pornographic content was played during a virtual hearing before the division bench of CJI Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tejas Karia. The hearing was shut down twice before the clips were played again for the third time by an unidentified person.

According to Live Law, a random user logged in to the Video Conference and shared his screen. He started playing porn on the screen while the bench of the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court was hearing the matter.

After the miscreant, likely some hacker, played the video for the third time, the VC was shut down and wasn't opened again. A voice in the background of the video said, "This is a hack from the United States. Shut the meeting right now. Never turn it on again. You have been hacked".

Later, Assistant Solicitor General Chetan Sharma mentioned the matter and said that the video was not played in just one court, but also in some other courts, in the session before lunch.

"There have been disconcerting incidents in the pre-lunch session in some courts, not just one court, that have the effect of damaging the integrity of the sanctity and overall integrity of the institution," Sharma said.

ASG Sharma has requested the court to issue an order directing the appropriate government to immediately take down and to stop the dissemination of the content.

Reacting to the incident, Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyay said, "Administratively I have already instructed the RG and made a request. Under our Rules, this (content) can be displayed only when it is recorded, which is prohibited. If someone has recorded then only it can be displayed. That is against the Rules. And as per norms, if anything is recorded under the Rules, the authorities will act."

According to a report by NDTV, a complaint has been lodged with the Delhi Police's Intelligence Fusion & Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit, which will now investigate the matter.
