Suraj Revanna Case: Days after Prajwal Revanna's sex video scandal landed the influential Karnataka political family in controversy and multiple police cases, Hassan Police has summoned Prajwal's brother Suraj Revanna in connection with allegations of same-sex harassment levelled by a worker of his party. Suraj is the grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and son of former Karnataka Minister HD Revanna. Notably, HD Revanna is also a key accused in an abduction case pertaining to one of the victims of Prajwal Revanna's sex video scandal.
The victim, a party worker, has alleged that the JD(S) MLC Suraj sexually assaulted him at his farmhouse on June 16. He lodged a complaint at the Holenarasipura police station in Karnataka's Hassan district on Saturday.

'Suraj Revanna Threatened To Kill Me'
The man further accused Suraj of threatening to kill him if he did not cooperate in the act.
"Suraj told me you’re alone in this farmhouse. You don’t know about me and our family. He threatened to kill me if I didn’t cooperate.," the man said in the complaint as quoted by India Today.
Following the complaint, Suraj Revanna was booked by Hassan Police under sections 377, 342, 506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. This came after Suraj Revanna, a JDS MLC, filed an FIR against two people for blackmailing him over a 'false' sexual assault allegation. The complaint was filed by Suraj Revanna's aide Shivakumar against the victim and his kin at the Holenarasipura police station.

Earlier today, the Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara had said that if a complaint was received against Suraj Revanna, suitable legal action would be taken against the accused.
