Prajwal Revanna Sex Videos Case: Prajwal Revanna, the grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and a Janata Dal Secular (JDS) MP, is reportedly set to return to Bengaluru tonight amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the Karnataka sex tapes case. According to a report by NDTV, Revanna's return ticket from Munich to Bengaluru via Lufthansa Airlines is scheduled to land at 12:30 am tomorrow.
The ticket, booked in the business class under Prajwal Revanna's name, was allegedly reserved on the same day when the 33-year-old MP booked a ticket to Germany, a day before an FIR was registered against him. Addressing the allegations in a social media post on May 1, Revanna stated, "As I am not in Bangalore to attend the enquiry, I have communicated to C.I.D Bangalore through my Advocate. Truth will prevail soon."
Several false alarms regarding Revanna's return have surfaced in recent weeks. However, in light of the ongoing investigation, the Karnataka police's Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case has alerted airport authorities to monitor Revanna's arrival. Earlier, a lookout notice and a Blue Corner notice were already issued to track his whereabouts.
Prajwal Revanna Sex Videos Case
The controversy erupted when hundreds of explicit videos allegedly featuring Prajwal Revanna surfaced late last month, prompting the formation of an SIT to investigate the case. Facing multiple charges including rape, sexual harassment, voyeurism, and criminal intimidation, Revanna has been suspended by the JDS party.
His father, HD Revanna, a JDS legislator, was arrested in connection with one of these cases and is currently out on bail. HD Revanna has denounced the accusations as a "political conspiracy". Meanwhile, the sex tapes scandal has sparked a political showdown, with the JDS alleging a conspiracy and the Congress leveraging the issue to target the BJP, which is in alliance with the JDS for the ongoing Lok Sabha election.
