Prajwal Revanna Case Updates:  Troubles are mounting for Hassan MP and grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, Prajwal Revanna, as reports suggest that the Central Bureau of Investigation might issue a 'Blue Corner Notice' against him on the instance of the Karnataka government's Special Investigation Team (SIT). This comes after he remained out of the country despite SIT's order to be present for the investigation into the sex tape scandal and the multiple rape FIRs.

Prajwal is accused of raping, sexually molesting and filming these acts with multiple women in the state. Multiple victims have lodged FIRs against the Janta Dal Secular leader since the alleged videos surfaced in Hassan.

Here are the key updates as of Saturday in the case

1. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that he has received crucial information from the Special Investigation Team (SIT) offices investigating the alleged sex scandal involving Prajwal Revanna that there might be a chance of the CBI issuing a "Blue Corner Notice" against Hassan MP.

2. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) issued another lookout notice to MP Prajwal Revanna and a first notice to his father Holenarasipur JD(S) MLA H D Revanna. This comes as the SIT anticipates that the senior Revanna might also plan to go abroad.

"It (lookout notice) has been issued against him (Revanna) already. It was issued against both -- Revanna and Prajwal. Anticipating that Revanna may also plan to go abroad, it has been done," Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara said.

3. Amid the row, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wrote a letter to the Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, appealing that the government must stand with the victims by providing them swift justice. He asked CM to extend "all possible help to the victims."

4. The letter of the Congress leader came on a day when a second FIR alleging rape was registered against Prajwal by a former Zilla Panchayat member from Hassan.

H D Revanna, his father, was involved in a kidnapping case, where the accused claimed that the MLA’s helpers took away one of the people filmed in the private videos.

5. Karnataka BJP president BY Vijayendra on Saturday reacted to the sex scandal case.

"Those who do wrong would have to face the consequences. The stance of the BJP is very clear... The Congress is trying to connect this issue with the Central government and PM Modi. The people have lost faith in its guarantees and the people are believing in PM Modi's guarantees. This is why Congress is constantly trying to create a hue and cry regarding Prajwal Revanna's case... The BJP will not support any such incident... We will not support Prajwal Revanna on this issue. Home Minister Amit Shah has also stated very clearly on this issue..," he said.
