Amid row over Amit Shah’s remarks on Dr BR Ambedkar, the latter’s grandson Prakash Ambedkar, who heads the Vanchit Aghadi Party, said that Shah’s comments on the father of the Constitution reflected BJP’s ‘same old mentality’. Prakash Ambedkar further said that the saffron party ‘will continue to sulk’ as they can't ‘fulfil their plans’ due to Dr Ambedkar.
"Before the BJP came into existence, its forerunners Jan Sangh and RSS had opposed Babasaheb while the Constitution was being adopted," Prakash Ambedkar was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.
Prakash Ambedkar emphasised that Shah's remarks suggest that one should revere God instead of BR Ambedkar, as respecting the father of the Constitution means embracing the freedom of speech.
This comes after several MPs of the INDIA bloc staged a protest in Parliament against Shah’s remarks, calling them an insult to Ambedkar. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh also shared a video of Shah’s remarks, which caused uproar in Parliament.
“Abhi ek fashion ho gaya hai - Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar. Itna naam agar bhagwan ka lete to saat janmon tak swarg mil jata (It has become a fashion to say Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar'. If they had taken God's name so many times, they would have got a place in heaven)," Shah had said.
"अभी एक फैशन हो गया है- अंबेडकर, अंबेडकर, अंबेडकर, अंबेडकर, अंबेडकर..

इतना नाम अगर भगवान का लेते तो सात जन्मों तक स्वर्ग मिल जाता."
अमित शाह ने बेहद घृणित बात की है.
इस बात से जाहिर होता है कि BJP और RSS के नेताओं के मन में बाबा साहेब अंबेडकर जी को लेकर बहुत नफरत है.

Meanwhile, the Congress has announced a nationwide protest today (December 19), demanding the resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. This comes in response to controversial remarks he made about Dr BR Ambedkar during his speech in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, amid the ongoing Winter Session of Parliament.
