Puja Special Trains: In a welcome move for passengers travelling between Gorakhpur and Delhi during the festive season, the railway administration has announced the introduction of a special train. The new Delhi-Gorakhpur-Delhi weekly special train, numbered 04022/04021, will cater to the increased demand during festivals like Dussehra, Diwali, and Chhath Puja.

According to Pankaj Kumar Singh, Chief Public Relations Officer, the train will operate on specific dates from both ends. From New Delhi, it will depart on Fridays, starting from September 19, and subsequently on October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, and November 7, 14, 21, and 28. From Gorakhpur, the train will depart on Saturdays, starting from September 20, and subsequently on October 4, 11, 18, 25, and November 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29, Jagran.com reported. 

The special train will make 10 trips, providing much-needed relief to passengers travelling between Gorakhpur and Delhi during the peak festive season.

Puja Special Train Between Delhi-Gorakhpur: Coaches and Timings

The special train, numbered 04022/04021, will comprise a total of 19 coaches, including four Second Class, six Sleeper Class, six Third AC, two Second AC, and one First AC coach. In addition to this train, the railway administration has also announced four more Puja Special trains via Gorakhpur, with their schedules already released.

Passengers can book confirmed tickets for these special trains to make their journey more convenient. Here are the details of the train schedule:

- 04022 New Delhi-Gorakhpur Weekly Puja Special: The train will depart from New Delhi at 2:00 PM and reach Gorakhpur at 5:00 AM the next day. The route includes Ghaziabad, Moradabad, Bareilly, Sitapur, Hardoi, Lucknow, and Gonda.

- 04021 Gorakhpur-New Delhi Weekly Puja Special: The train will depart from Gorakhpur at 7:00 AM and reach New Delhi at 11:10 PM. The route includes Basti, Gonda, Lucknow Junction, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, and Ghaziabad.

Festival Special Trains: Several Other Trains To Delhi Announced

The railway administration has announced several special trains to cater to the increased demand during the festive season. These trains will operate via Gorakhpur, providing relief to passengers travelling to and from various destinations.

04010 Delhi-Sitamarhi Weekly Puja Special

- Departure from Delhi: Every Thursday from October 2 to November 27, 11:05 PM
- Route: Ghaziabad, Hapur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Bagaha, Narkatiaganj, Sitka, Raxaul, and Sitamarhi
- Arrival at Sitamarhi: Next day, 10:30 AM

04009 Sitamarhi-Delhi Weekly Puja Special

- Departure from Sitamarhi: Every Friday from October 3 to November 28, 11:55 PM
- Route: Raxaul, Bagaha, Narkatiaganj, Gorakhpur, Gonda, Sitapur, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Hapur, and Ghaziabad
- Arrival at Delhi: Next day, 11:58 AM
