Punjab Gangster Held: Amandeep, a member of the Jagga Fukiwal extortion, was arrested in Kapurthala district, Punjab. Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav on Wednesday said cops recovered four pistols from his possession. The Jagga Fukiwal extortion gang is active around Sultanpur Lodhi and is instrumental in supplying weapons to local gangs to carry out firing and extortion activities.
The Punjab Director General of Police said Amandeep, who is a resident of Kapurthala, allegedly supplied two pistols to his associate Lovepreet, who has also been arrested.
From Lovepreet's possession, police recovered one .32 bore country-made pistol, one .315 bore country-made pistol, and two live rounds. Further interrogation led to the recovery of three more country-made pistols, police said.
Cops registered a case at the Sadar police station in Kapurthala and an investigation was launched to trace other members of the gang.

Yadav said his team is examining the backward and forward linkages to dismantle the entire illegal arms network in the area.
Gangster Anmol Bishnoi To Be Arrested
The development comes at a time when Punjab gangster Anmol Bishnoi, a key accused in singer Sidhu Moose Wala murder case, is being deported to India from the US. Anmol, brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, is set be arrested soon after his arrival at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. However, the Union Home Ministry will decide which state police or Central agency would arrest him.
A police official on Tuesday said Anmol, also a wanted accused in the case related to a firing on Salman Khan's residence in April 2024. This was a multi-agency operation, and after being brought to India, the Mumbai police will also seek his custody in their cases, the official said.
