Just two days after Diwali, the Punjab government has transferred six IAS officers, including three Deputy Commissioners (DCs). The transferred DCs include those from Amritsar, Gurdaspur, and Pathankot.
VisheshSarangal, the Chief Administrator of the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA), has also been transferred. He has been posted as the Special Secretary and Director of the Good Governance, Information and Technology Department. He will also be the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Punjab State E-Governance Society.
Amritsar DC Sakshi Sawhney, who had done significant work in the Amritsar area during the floods, will now be the new Chief Administrator of GMADA.
Aditya Uppal will be the new DC of Gurdaspur. Pallavi will be the new DC of Pathankot, and she will also hold the charge of Commissioner for the Pathankot Municipal Corporation. Dalvinder Jit Singh will be the new DC of Amritsar.
Harpreet Singh has been posted as Additional Secretary, Water Supply and Gurdaspur, and has also been given the additional charge of Additional Secretary for the Water Supply and Sanitation Department and the Power Department.
