India-Pakistan Tension: Amid escalated tension with Pakistan, loud blasts were reported in multiple districts of Punjab, including Gurdaspur and Phagwara, in the early hours of Saturday. While no significant damage was reported in these blasts, it led to panic among the local residents of these regions. The district administration, in a precautionary measure, cut the electricity temporarily and restored it later. The administration has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid inconveniences.

The officials stated that a blast was reported in Gurdaspur's Rajubela Chhichharan village on Saturday, leading to a deep crater in the fields. The locals stated that the blast occurred around 5 AM on Saturday, adding that no serious damage was reported. The nearby electricity wires and transformers got completely damaged in the blast, leading to inconveniences. Apart from this, doors and windows of houses of several local residents got damaged due to the blast.

Bhaini Mian Khan police station SHO Sarabjit Singh Chahal, DSP Kulwant Singh, and army officers reached the spot after the incident; however, they did not provide any details regarding the blast. In a similar incident, the officials stated that an unidentified object fell in a field between Khalyan and Sahni villages in Phagwara district.

The officials stated that an explosion-like sound was heard from the fields, adding that the impact of the unidentified object created a crater about 7-8 feet deep and 12-14 feet wide in the field. Additional Deputy Commissioner Akshita Gupta said an advisory has been issued to keep all marketplaces, barring medical stores, closed in Phagwara city on Saturday. He added that malls and high-rise commercial buildings in the rest of the district will also remain closed.

Indian officials stated that Pakistan has been trying to escalate the situation by trying to hit the civilians and religious sites.
