Punjab Woman Dies After Jumping From Gurudwara Baba Atal Rai Building Near Golden Temple

In a tragic incident, a 25-year-old woman lost her life after allegedly jumping from the top floor of Gurudwara Baba Atal Rai located near Golden Temple Complex in Punjab’s Amritsar on Thursday morning. Police officials are investigating whether the woman died by suicide or some other incident happened to her. 

According to Jagran.com, the police have kept the deceased’s body in the mortuary for identification. The police officials are scanning the nearby CCTV cameras and investigating whether the girl came alone or someone else was also with her.

Meanwhile, ACP Jaspal Singh said that as soon as he received the information, he reached the spot with the police force. The body has been taken into custody and an investigation has been started. The girl has not been identified yet.

In another incident that took place on Wednesday night, a woman died by suicide after jumping from the fourth floor of Noida’s GIP Mall. The investigation into the matter revealed that the woman died by jumping from the stairs of the fire exit gate.

The woman was identified as Akanksha Sood, and she was a resident of Delhi’s Karawal Nagar she was reportedly mentally stressed and her divorce case was also under process. The police took the body into custody and after postmortem handed it over to the family.

The family members believe that the mental stress caused by the ongoing legal battle may have contributed to her taking the drastic step of ending her life.
