Putin India Visit: Russian President Vladimir Putin reached Delhi on December 4 for his two-day India visit and will be staying at the ITC Maurya Hotel. Security has been tightened across the property, with all rooms booked, corridors restricted and multiple agencies from India and Russia deployed to secure the premises.

Putin India Visit: ITC Maurya Stay Details

Putin will occupy the hotel’s most exclusive accommodation, the Chanakya Suite. Considered one of India’s most luxurious presidential suites, it spans nearly 4,600 sq ft and is priced between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 10 lakh per night.

The suite combines heritage design with modern luxury. It features silk-panelled walls, dark wooden flooring and rare artworks, including pieces inspired by the Arthashastra and works by Tyeb Mehta.

Putin Delhi Stay: Chanakya Suite Amenities

Its amenities include a large master bedroom with walk-in wardrobe, a private steam room, a gym, spacious living and reception areas, a formal dining hall, guest rooms, study areas and hand-carved interiors. The suite has been crafted to offer visiting Heads of State a regal yet comfortable retreat.

Russia President Putin’s Itenary

His official engagements begin on Friday with a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan, followed by tributes at Rajghat and delegation-level talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House. The meetings will focus on defence ties, energy cooperation and long-term economic partnership. Putin will later attend a business session and meet President Droupadi Murmu before departing the same night.

Meanwhile, the MEA has issued strict media guidelines for coverage, and Delhi remains under an extensive security grid with multiple agencies deployed across the city.
