Ahead of the INDIA alliance's key meeting on Monday, posters targeting Congress and Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi were put up on multiple roundabouts in Delhi.

A total of 23 parties will participate in the meeting to discuss INDIA bloc’s future strategy with an eye on the 2029 Lok Sabha election. The posters appeared near Ashoka Road and at multiple other locations across the national capital.

'Rahul Gandhi Lacks Consistency'

One of the posters read 'Rahul Gandhi Lacks Consistency'. The posters had various statements from Opposition leaders like NCP-SCP chief Sharad Pawar, TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee, DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin, and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal.

Hurdles Ahead Of INDIA Bloc

Mamata Banerjee desperately needs the Congress party's support at the moment, but the support of the DMK and the Left parties at the national level is equally important for the Congress.

Following Stalin's defeat in Tamil Nadu, Congress immediately broke its two-decade-old alliance with the DMK in the state, supporting TVK leader Vijay as Chief Minister. Despite the DMK's Dravidian and anti-BJP politics, Congress considers the DMK close to the Opposition camp at the national level, but Stalin has expressed his displeasure by announcing his withdrawal from the INDIA meeting.

Similarly, the CPI(M) is upset over the allegations of top Congress leaders that the Left parties are in collusion with the BJP in Kerala and party general secretary MA Baby has recently written a letter to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge seeking clarification on this.
