As voting is underway in Wayanad, Congress vouched for sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and urged people voters to back her in the ongoing Lok Sabha bye-election.
Taking to X, he wrote, "I'm reaching out to my family in Wayanad--this election, my sister Priyanka Gandhi is ready to be your voice in Parliament. She will be more than just a representative--she will be your sister, your daughter, and your advocate. I am confident she will help unlock Wayanad's full potential. I urge all of you to come out, vote, and support her. Let's ensure a resounding victory together!"
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also appealed to people to vote. "People are coming out and voting, it is a good thing. I hope everyone will exercise their democratic right and vote. This is the biggest strength given to the people by the Constitution and they should use it well," she said.

As voting is underway in Wayanad, a voter turnout of 13.04 per cent was recoded at 9:00 AM.
Earlier in the day, Navya Haridas, the BJP candidate for the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat, criticised the Congress for allegedly employing various strategies to influence voters.
After visiting the Sree Ayyappa Mahakshethram temple, Haridas spoke with ANI about her campaign, expressing confidence that she will win the ongoing by-election against Congress candidate Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
"People of Wayanad need a person who can work with them at the grassroots level and who can address their issues in Parliament and find solutions. Congress is trying to influence voters this time by providing kits, money, liquor--everything. Because there is a fear factor for Congress that they are going to lose this election," said Haridas.
Haridas also took a swipe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who previously represented Wayanad, accusing him of neglecting important issues in Parliament. She warned that if Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were to take over the seat in the future, she would likely follow the same pattern.
"They have never been involved with the people of Wayanad to seek their real requirements or address these needs in Parliament," Haridas told ANI.
