Railway employees to get bonus worth 78 days of wages, move to benefit 11 lakh

The bonus is expected to benefit 11,52,000 lakh employees and will cost the government Rs 2,024 crore.

New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: Union Minister Prakash Javadekar annonced on Wednesday that Indian Railways employees will get a bonus equivalent to 78 days of wages this year.

The bonus is expected to benefit 11,52,000 lakh employees and will cost the government Rs 2,024 crore, he said.

Terming it “reward for productivity”, Javadekar also said this will mark the sixth straight year when the government is giving record bonus to Railways employees.
