Naidunia Correspondent, Bhopal: The Bhopal Division of West Central Railway has issued a warning against fake railway recruitment advertisements being circulated on social media and other online platforms. According to railway officials, some fraudsters are trying to cheat unemployed youth by promising jobs in the Indian Railways through misleading advertisements.

Bhopal Division Warns Against Fake Ads

In a statement, issued under the directions of Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Pankaj Tyagi, the railway administration clarified that all appointments in Indian Railways are made only through the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) and Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) following the prescribed recruitment process.

Authorities Issue Alert

The administration stressed that Indian Railways does not offer jobs through direct recruitment without examinations, nor does it appoint candidates through private agencies. Railway officials also warned that claims such as “job without exam”, “immediate appointment” and “100 per cent selection” are completely fake. Such advertisements often misuse the name, logo and station names of the Railways to mislead people.

The Railways has further urged job seekers to rely only on official websites for recruitment-related information. People have also been advised to report any suspicious advertisements to the police, the Cyber Crime Helpline (1930), or the concerned authorities.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that the Madhya Pradesh government is set to revise the general service conditions for government employment after almost 65 years. The proposed changes aim to bring greater clarity to recruitment rules, probation procedures, eligibility criteria, and promotion norms, addressing long-standing ambiguities in the existing framework.

Under the 1961 service rules, individuals convicted of crimes against women were considered ineligible for government jobs. However, the revised provisions now include “moral turpitude,” which means that candidates convicted of serious offences such as murder, corruption, and other grave crimes will also be deemed ineligible for government employment.
