Railway News: Railway authorities on Wednesday announced that a significant number of berths are vacant on four summer special trains currently operating between Gorakhpur, Delhi, and other major cities.
Sumit Kumar, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Eastern Railway, stated that the department has introduced a record number of summer special trains this year to manage the passenger rush. Despite the high demand, several of these services have vacant berths across various coach classes.
Passengers are encouraged to book these confirmed seats early to avoid the inconvenience of long waiting lists on regular trains and to ensure a smoother journey.
List Of Trains With Vacant Berths Across Classes
Gorakhpur-New Delhi Special (05101)
May 16: 854 berths available in AC III Economy Class.
Gorakhpur-Delhi Special (05057)
May 7: 437 berths (AC III Economy).
May 14: 799 berths (AC III Economy).
May 24: 815 berths (AC III Economy) and 39 berths (Sleeper Class).
May 28: 829 berths (AC III Economy) and 179 berths (Sleeper Class).
Gorakhpur-Hadapsar Special (01416)
May 23: Seven berths in AC III Tier and seven berths in Sleeper Class.
May 24: 105 berths in AC III Tier.
May 28: 100 berths in AC III Tier and 234 berths in Sleeper Class.
Gorakhpur-Guwahati (Orange) Summer Special (05634)
May 29: 164 berths available in Sleeper Class.
Special Trains From Gujarat To Bihar
In a bid to manage the anticipated surge in passenger demand during the summer holiday season, the Railways has announced to operate three pairs of unreserved special trains connecting Udhna in Gujarat to Danapur and Jaynagar in Bihar.

- As per the schedule released by the Indian Railways, the first train, 09007/09008 Udhna-Danapur Special, will depart from Udhna on April 26, arriving at DDU at 07:54 AM the following day.
- The second train, 09021/09022 Udhna-Danapur Special, is scheduled to run on the same route, reaching DDU at 8:54 PM on Monday.
- Additionally, the third train, 09003/09004 Udhna-Jaynagar Special, will run through key stations, including Patliputra, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur, and Darbhanga.
