Railway News:  In a bid to address the long-standing demand of the public, the Railway Ministry has started a direct train service from Amb Andaura Railway Station in Una to Haridwar. On Saturday, MP Anurag Thakur flagged off the train from Una Railway Station. With the launch of the direct train service, people will be able to travel to Haridwar from the Amb Andaura railway station in Una.

Amb-Andaura To Haridwar At Just Rs 75: Check Details

In a move to ensure convenient travel at affordable rates, the Railway Ministry started a rail service from Amb-Andaura to Haridwar at Rs 75. The Train Number 64511/64512 will run between Amb-Andaura railway station to Haridwar from July 19 and will leave Amb-Andaura at 1:34 PM.

Earlier, the train service from Amb-Andaura to Haridwar was expected to start from July 7, but due to some technical and operational reasons, the service was delayed. Former Chintpurni MLA Balbir Singh, BJP district president Sham Minhas and other activists raised this issue before MP Anurag Thakur, and Thakur directed the officials to start the rail service soon. After a long wait, it was flagged off by the MP Thakur on Saturday in Una.

Una Railway Station To Be Redesigned: MP Anurag Thakur

MP Anurag Thakur directed railway officials to develop Una Railway Station in accordance with Himachal Pradesh’s art, culture and aesthetics. In view of improving the condition of the station's entry and exit points, public facilities, canteen, toilets, etc, along with parking arrangements, Thakur asked to prepare a detailed proposal report on the traffic possibilities of the next 30 years.

He also ordered to add new coaches to the Himachal Express train before 2026 and ensure proper toilet facilities in all the trains running from Una.
