Chandigarh To Udaipur Train: Passengers traveling to Udaipur via Gurugram and Rewari will now be able to take a direct train from Sonipat. The railways have agreed to extend train 20473-74 Chetak Express, which runs between Udaipur and Sarai Rohilla (Delhi), to Chandigarh.

Its operation would provide a direct link between the GT Road belts of South and North Haryana, as well as the state capital Chandigarh. Currently, hundreds of commuters have to travel by bus, which not only takes longer time but also costs more. The Chetak Express will take three and a half hours from Sonipat to Chandigarh.

With its launch, travelers will have an alternative to the 14095-96 Himalayan Queen, which has been closed for four years. There has been a long-standing demand to restart the Himalayan Queen. Himalayan Queen was restarted during the time of Covid, which has yet to be resumed.

There are no direct trains from Sonipat to Gurgaon, Rewari, or Rajasthan. Passengers must go to Delhi to catch the train. This train will be of tremendous assistance to people traveling to Chandigarh in the morning. Because the arrival time in Chandigarh is 9:15 AM, so daily commuters would be able to reach their offices with ease.
