Train Cancellation News: In a significant operational overhaul, Indian Railways has introduced substantial changes to the schedules of numerous trains during the first week of September. Several MEMU passenger trains will be completely cancelled, while dozens of express and MEMU trains will be short-terminated or rerouted.

Additionally, prominent long-distance trains like the Duronto, Utkal, and Dakshin Bihar Express will experience considerable delays, running hours behind their usual schedules.

Why Trains Are Cancelled

The railways has attributed these changes to ongoing development work in the Adra division. To ensure the smooth and safe execution of these projects, the railways has deemed it necessary to regulate train operations. The changes will be in effect from September 1 to September 7.
 
 

Trains Rerouted Due To Track Work

 
Several MEMU passenger trains have been canceled or rerouted due to ongoing development work in the Adra division. Here's a breakdown of the affected trains:
Fully Canceled Trains
 
- Train No. 68077/68078 Adra-Bhaga-Adra MEMU Passenger: Will not operate from September 1 to September 7, 2025.

- Train No. 68046/68045 Asansol-Adra-Asansol MEMU Passenger: Will be canceled on September 7, 2025.
 

Trains With Altered Routes

 
- Train No. 68056/68060 Tatanagar-Asansol-Barabhum MEMU: Will terminate and originate from Adra station on September 2, 2025, instead of its scheduled destination.

- Train No. 13503/13504 Bardhaman-Hatia-Bardhaman MEMU Express: Will short terminate and originate from NSCB Gomo station on September 2, 4, 5, and 7, 2025.

- Train No. 18019/18020 Jhargram-Dhanbad-Jhargram MEMU Express: Will operate only up to Bokaro Steel City from September 1 to 5 and September 7, 2025.
 

Adra Division Train Schedule: Here Are Affected Trains

Due to ongoing development work, Indian Railways has introduced significant changes to the schedules of several long-distance trains. Passengers are advised to check the updated schedules to avoid inconvenience.
 

List Of Trains Operating Late

- Utkal Express: On September 2, the Puri-Yog Nagri Rishikesh Utkal Express (Train No. 18477) will depart 6.5 hours late from Puri, while the return train (Train No. 18478) will also depart 6.5 hours late from Yog Nagri Rishikesh.

- Dakshin Bihar Express: On September 2, the Ara-Durg Dakshin Bihar Express (Train No. 13288) will depart 4 hours late from Ara. On September 3, the return train (Train No. 13287) will depart 6.5 hours late from Durg.

- Duronto Express: On September 3, the Howrah-Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Duronto Express (Train No. 12262) will depart 6 hours late from Howrah.

- Darbhanga Express: On September 2, the Secunderabad-Darbhanga Darbhanga Express (Train No. 17007) will depart 2.5 hours late from Secunderabad.

- Other Trains:

   - Buxar-Tatanagar Express: Will depart 90 minutes late on September 7.
 
   - Hatia-Kharagpur Express: Will depart 120 minutes late on September 2 and 6.

   - Kharagpur-Hatia Express: Will depart 120 minutes late on September 4, 5, and 7.
