Rajasthan Honeymoon Murder Case: A 23-year-old woman, Anju, in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, is accused of allegedly plotting the murder of her husband, Ashish, 27, with the help of her boyfriend, Sanju. She reportedly had been in a relationship with her lover for seven years, which her family was aware of.
The duo allegedly tried to stage the killing as an accident, claiming the couple had been hit by a vehicle, but Ashish’s injuries suggested he had been strangled.
Anju Was In Relationship With Her Boyfriend For Seven Years
According to a report by Dainik Bhaskar, Anju had been in a relationship with Sanju for nearly seven years, and her family members were aware of this relationship. Anju and Sanju studied in the same college and became closer. Her family members were aware of their relationship, but they still arranged her marriage to Ashish on October 30.
Despite being married to Ashish, she remained in contact with Sanju and allegedly attempted to find ways to meet him. She made up an excuse to complete a BA degree from Sri Ganganagar and talked to Ashish's parents about it.
However, when Ashish flatly rejected the proposal, her frustration took a dark turn. She and her boyfriend, Sanju, allegedly conspired to murder Ashish while Anju was visiting her hometown.
Rajasthan Honeymoon Murder: How Did The Murder Plot Unfold?
The duo executed the plan on January 30 when Anju returned to her in-laws' house. She convinced Ashish to accompany her for an evening walk and took him on a deserted road where Sanju and three accomplices, Rocky, Badal, and Siddharth, were waiting.
The men attacked Ashish on the head with sticks and strangled him with a muffler. To make the murder look like a random robbery, Anju gave her phone and earrings to the attackers.
However, the police uncovered the conspiracy and arrested everyone involved. Anju is now in police custody for two days, while the four men have been remanded for five days.
