In a shocking incident from Rajasthan’s Nagaur district, a 40-year-old former Border Security Force (BSF) personnel allegedly shot and killed his brother-in-law before taking his own life, reportedly due to ongoing tensions with his estranged wife and interference from her family.
According to police, the man who had been distressed over his marital issues recorded a video before the incident detailing how he believed his wife’s family was negatively influencing her against him. His wife had been staying at her parental home for the past three months, which reportedly deepened the rift.
Local police officer Suresh Chaudhary stated that the man, a father of two, used his licensed firearm to shoot his brother-in-law in the chest. Moments later, he turned the weapon on himself and shot himself in the mouth. “The bodies have been sent for post-mortem. An investigation is ongoing,” Chaudhary told Hindustan Times.
