Diwali 2024: The festival of Diwali brings happiness and joy for everyone. People pray and wish for prosperity. The light from the diyas and lights illuminates everything; the environment becomes bright, but for many children in Jaipur, this festival brought darkness.

In Jaipur, the festival has brought darkness as they have met with accidents during the burning of crackers. In Rajasthan, over 100 people were injured in various accidents related to fireworks and crackers on the occasion of Deepawali.

Among these, half a dozen children from the surrounding districts are also admitted in the state's largest Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur, out of which six children have lost their eyesight. Hospital Superintendent Dr. Sunil Bhati said that efforts are being made to cure the children's eyes to some extent by operating them.

A young girl has also lost her eyesight due to gunpowder entering her eyes. According to the superintendent doctor, on the occasion of Diwali, operations were conducted by keeping the OT open day and night in the hospital. On the day of Diwali, about 80 patients arrived who were severely burned in the fire. Out of these, about 10 patients are in critical condition.

In Andhra Pradesh, three people were killed and 11 others were seriously injured in two firecracker-related accidents. One person was burnt alive and six others were seriously injured in a firecracker explosion on Thursday. The incident took place in Eluru city when a man was carrying firecrackers in a bag on his two-wheeler, reports jagran.com.

According to the police as quoted by jagran.com, the bag full of 'onion bombs' fell on the ground when the motorcycle hit a pothole on the road near Ganganamma temple. The bike rider died due to the explosion of the firecrackers. Six other people were injured in the accident. The injured were admitted to the government hospital in Eluru.
