At least 13 people have been reported dead and several others injured after an out-of-control dumper truck rammed into multiple vehicles and overturned. The incident occurred on Lohamandi Road in Jaipur.

According to news agency ANI, the truck lost control after colliding with a car, flipped over, and completely crushed the smaller vehicle. Several other vehicles, including a motorbike and two other cars, were also involved in the crash.

In an initial statement, Jaipur Commissioner of Police Sachin Mittal said, "Ten casualties have been reported. We are currently collecting details of the injured..."

A rescue team was dispatched to the site, and the injured were shifted to the hospital. However, the death toll rose to 13 as three victims succumbed to their injuries during the treatment in the hospital. Three others were in critical condition while several others sustained minor injuries.

Principal Controller, SMS Medical College, Dr Deepak Maheshwari says, "... Around ten were brought dead, and three died in hospital. Three others are critical, and several others have minor injuries... Those critical are being taken care of... Administration is also constantly monitoring this case."

Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma also expressed his grief over the incident.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote, "The road accident that occurred in the Lohamandi area of Harmada in Jaipur, resulting in loss of life, is extremely tragic and heart-wrenching. The concerned authorities have been directed to ensure proper treatment for the injured. We pray to God to grant the departed souls a place in His eternal abode and bestow strength upon the bereaved families to endure this devastating blow."
