The Indian Army on Thursday clarified that no suicide bombing attack has been reported in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri or Punjab's Pathankot. The clarification came minutes after a section of media reported that a fidayeen (suicide) attack had been reported at the Army Brigade in Rajouri.

The development came as Pakistan launched a barrage of drones on several parts of northern and western India, including Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Punjab. In Kashmir, military stations at Jammu, Pathankot and Udhampur were targeted by Pakistani drones.

However, the Indian defence forces swiftly thwarted the attacks with their Air Defence Systems. According to the Ministry of Defence, no casualties or material losses have been reported in the attacks.
