Police complaints have also been filed against Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, influencer Apoorva Makhija and others over the episode of India's Got Latent. Rajya Sena MP and Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi has also said that she will raise the matter in the Parliament.
"Any abusive language in the name of comedy content crosses limits is not acceptable . You get a platform, that doesn't mean that you will utter anything. He is someone with millions of subscribers, every political has sat in his podcast. PM has given him an award... As a member of standing committee of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, I will raise this issue," she wrote on X.
Meanwhile, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has also strongly condemned YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia's remarks demanding an "immediate ban" on the show along with legal action against those involved.
In a press release shared on Monday evening, AICWA stated that Allahbadia's comments were offensive and went against "societal and family values." The association also urged the Indian film industry to "boycott" and "cease any collaboration with individuals" involved in the show.

What Is The Controversy?
The controversy erupted after Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps, made an inappropriate joke during an episode of 'India's Got Latent'. His comment quickly went viral, sparking widespread criticism from artists and social media users. On the show, he asked a contestant, "Would you rather watch your parents... or join in once and stop it forever?"
In the wake of the backlash, Allahbadia issued an apology for his "inappropriate" comments, admitting they were made in an "insensitive" manner during the YouTube episode. He shared the apology in a video posted on his X account, hours after facing the criticism. In the video, he explained that "comedy is not his forte" and admitted, "it wasn't cool."

Acknowledging the severity of his remarks, Allahbadia said, "My comment wasn't just inappropriate, it wasn't even funny. Comedy is not my forte, I am just here to say sorry."
He further stated, "Obviously, this is not how I wish to use it. I am not going to give any context, justification, or reasoning behind what happened. I am just here for an apology. I personally had a lapse in judgment. It wasn't cool on my part."
