The Rashtrapati Bhavan announced on Friday the auction of selected gifts presented to the President and former presidents through a web portal. The first phase will feature around 250 exquisite gifts, an official statement said. The initiative aims to increase citizen engagement while supporting a noble cause, with all proceeds going to help children in need, according to the President's office.
The bidding period will run from August 5 to August 26, after which the items will be delivered to the highest bidders. The auction will be conducted through an online portal called E-Upahaar, launched by President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday, marking the completion of her two years in office.
"Rashtrapati Bhavan will auction selected gift items, presented to the President and former Presidents on various occasions, through an online portal called E-Upahaar," the statement read. Interested bidders can place their bids at https://upahaar.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in/ after completing the necessary details and Aadhaar authentication.

Through the website, bidders can place bids, check their status and make payments using online modes. The gift items available for auction can be viewed at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum.
Visitors can book tickets to the museum at https://visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in/ and explore the exhibits from Tuesday to Sunday, between 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM.
