A college student from Indore recently found herself in a real-life drama eerily similar to the 2007 Bollywood film "Jab We Met". The movie tells the story of Geet, a vibrant young woman who runs away from home to get married to her boyfriend.
Similarly, the Indore college student reportedly eloped from home to marry her lover, only to be rejected when she reached the railway station.
Here’s How Real Life Drama Unfolded
- A 22-year-old college student from Indore's MIG police station area embarked on a journey that eerily mirrored the plot of the Bollywood film "Jab We Met."
- On August 23, Shraddha Tiwari left her home to elope with her boyfriend, Sarthak Gehlot, but her plans were foiled when he failed to show up at the station.
- Sarthak informed Shraddha via phone call that he didn't want to marry her.

- Heartbroken and without a destination, Shraddha boarded a train and travelled to Ratlam, a city that holds a connection to the film "Jab We Met," where some scenes were shot.
- According to an NDTV report, Shraddha met Karandeep at Ratlam station, an electrician who works at her college in Indore. Karandeep noticed Shraddha sitting alone and approached her, asking what was wrong.
- After listening to her story, he advised her to go home and discuss everything with her parents. However, Shraddha refused to return home without getting married.
- Seeing Shraddha determined to get married, Karandeep proposed to her for marriage, and she accepted the proposal. The couple got married in Maheshwar and later travelled to Mandsaur.
- Meanwhile, Shraddha's father, Anil Tiwari, launched a search operation, offering a reward of Rs 51,000 for information about his daughter's whereabouts. When Shraddha finally contacted her father, she assured him that she was safe in Mandsaur. He advised her to stay in a hotel overnight and return home the next morning.
