CJP-Govt Meeting: Union Health Minister JP Nadda and Minister of State for PMO Jitendra Singh on Friday held a key meeting with the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) delegation, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, to discuss protesting students' demands. After meeting with Cockroach Janta Party spokespersons, Nadda said the government has received 3 main demands and 5 reform suggestions for examinations.

"The meeting went on for almost 2 hours in a cordial atmosphere. They had 3 main demands and 5 reform suggestions for exams. We have told them that we will meet them again tomorrow afternoon and tell them about the discussion we had among the government," he said.

What Transpired During The Meeting?

The meeting reportedly lasted around 45 minutes. CJP leaders submitted a memorandum of demands to the Union Ministers. After the meeting, Raka and Das told the media that they had placed three demands before the government. They asserted that there would be no compromise on the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The CJP members stated that the government is positive on two of their three demands. The government has sought time to discuss their demands with the leadership in the government.

Dhas said if the government does not take a decision by tomorrow, protests will intensify across the country.

CJP's 3 Major Demands

1. The resignation of the Union Education Minister.

2. Compensation of Rs 1 crore each for the families of the victims.

3. All FIRs filed against students during the protests should be cancelled.

In the 45-minute meeting between the CJP and the government, several important issues, including the NEET paper leak and the resignation of Pradhan, were discussed. Now it remains to be seen whether the government will accept CJP's demands.
