She further said that she suffered a panic attack as the three men were not listening to her and asked them to take her to the hospital. The accused then took her to the guard room where they raped her. "I touched their feet, but they did not let me go. They forcibly took me to the guard room. They blackmailed me, threatened to kill my friend and also my parents," she said in her complaint.

After the incident, BJP Leader Amit Malviya wrote on X, “On June 25, a female law student was gang-raped inside a law college in Kolkata's suburb Kasba by none other than an alumnus and two college employees. Shockingly, reports suggest that a TMC member is also involved in this."

"The horror of RG Kar has still not subsided, and yet such heinous crimes are increasing every day in Bengal. West Bengal under Mamata Banerjee's rule has become a nightmare for women. Rape has become a common tragedy," Malviya added. He further mentioned that the BJP stands with the victim and her family. "BJP will not rest until the culprit is punished," Malviya said.
