An alternate highway from Okhla Barrage to Yamuna Expressway via the Hindon-Yamuna Doab is proposed to reduce traffic on the Noida-Greater Noida suburbs Expressway in Uttar Pradesh. It will be an eight-lane ground-level expressway or a six-lane raised expressway to lower pollution and enhance traffic flow.

On their way from Delhi to Noida, commuters have to deal with severe traffic congestion, which takes time and adds to carbon emissions, which worsen air pollution. This is now a significant environmental risk.

On September 18, the Noida Authority submitted a proposal to the Principal Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh government's Public Works Department to designate this route as a National Highway in order to forward the new plan.

To carry out this project on the ground, additional procedures must be finished after this route is designated as a national highway. After that, development on this new road will start.

Not only will the new highway reduce traffic, but it will also spur regional growth. This project will handle future traffic needs while also being a major step towards environmental conservation.

Traffic congestion will be relieved for residents of Noida, Greater Noida, and Delhi, which will support the region's social and economic growth.
