Parliament Winter Session: Amid the ongoing winter session, several private members' bills have been introduced in both houses of parliament seeking key changes. These bills have sought several reforms, including 'no work calls after office hours', changes to the Constitution's Preamble, and death penalty abolition. The MPs from across parties have stated that the private bills are being introduced to have an impact on the lives of the citizens. A private member's bill is a proposal introduced in both houses by the MPs who are not ministers. However, no private bill has been passed by the parliament since 1970, suggesting the lower acceptance of these proposals.

Key Private Members' Bills Introduced:

- Right To Disconnect: NCPSP MP Supriya Sule stated that the employees should have the right to avoid calls or emails after the office hours. “Studies have found that if an employee is expected to be available round the clock, they tend to exhibit risks of overwork like sleep deprivation, developing stress, and being emotionally exhausted," Sule stated.
