Prassana has made a name for himself in the global tech industry however, the controversies surrounding his personal life have brought him into the limelight for reasons beyond his professional success.

Who Is Prasanna Sankar?

Born and raised in India, Prasanna Sankaranarayanan is an alumnus of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Trichy, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science between 2004 and 2008. During his college years, his talent in competitive programming saw him rank as India’s number-one coder on platforms like TopCoder and Google Code Jam. 

Following his graduation, he worked at Google and Microsoft before moving into the startup ecosystem. His entrepreneurial journey began with the founding of LikeALittle, a social networking platform. Later, he served as the Director of Engineering at Zenefits, a leading HR software company.

Prassana Sankar, along with Parker Conrad, co-founded Rippling in 2016, a company that simplifies workforce management by integrating HR, IT, and finance operations into a unified platform. With Rippling’s valuation reaching USD 10 billion, it became a key contributor to Sankar’s immense fortune. Sankar currently resides in Singapore and after leaving Rippling in 2020, he launched 0xPPL, a Singapore-based social network for crypto enthusiasts, in 2023.

Prasanna Sankar’s Wealth, Properties in Chennai

Prasanna Sankar has invested in real estate, including properties in Chennai. Although specific details of his real estate holdings are not publicly disclosed, reports indicate that he owns premium properties in Tamil Nadu’s capital.
