New Delhi l Jagran News Desk: VG Siddhartha was laid to rest today after his body was recovered at Netravati river in Mangalore on Tuesday.

As per reports, Cafe Coffee Day (CCD) was failing to earn profit from its business. The chain is spread around 1500 outlets in India.

In his letter to the board of directors, founder of CCD, VG Siddhartha wrote, "I have failed to create the right profitable business model despite my best efforts. I would like to say I gave it my all. I am very sorry to let down all the people that put their trust in me. I fought for a long time but today I gave up as I could not take any more pressure...,"

While the letter, which reads like a parting message, and the recovery of the body indicate towards suicide by the businessman, the police are yet to official confirm any such report.
