Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday clarified that the recent statements made by BJP National President JP Nadda regarding the RSS were his personal views. He said that every citizen in our country has the freedom to express their opinions openly and that Nadda's statements should not be associated with the organisation's or party's policies. Bhagwat made these comments in response to a trainee's question during the RSS Eastern Region workers' development session in Gorakhpur on Sunday.

Recently, in an interview with the media, BJP President JP Nadda said that the party is progressing rapidly and has reached a point where it no longer needs the RSS. He suggested that the BJP is now capable of handling all its affairs independently. Nadda had indirectly questioned the relevance of the RSS's ideological influence within the BJP, stating that the RSS works on an ideological front while the BJP operates as a political organisation.

When asked about this during the worker development session, Bhagwat said that there is no need to focus on such remarks. He stressed the importance of continuing to work towards the organisation's objectives without getting distracted.

Be Sensitive to Religious Conversion, Keep an Eye on Love Jihad: Bhagwat

During the session, Bhagwat also urged volunteers to be extremely sensitive regarding conversions from Hinduism to other religions. He advised them to address any information about conversions calmly and to try to understand and resolve the reasons behind such decisions to prevent these activities permanently. Bhagwat not only cautioned volunteers about preventing conversions from Hinduism but also suggested making the path easier for those willing to embrace Hinduism. He encouraged inviting such people to RSS branches.

Addressing a trainee's query about Love Jihad, Bhagwat described it as a conspiracy to destroy Hindu values and culture. He emphasised the need to prevent its success by keeping a vigilant watch on such incidents and organising efforts to stop them promptly.

Verify Information Before Believing Internet Media

During the interaction with volunteers, the topic of the reliability of news disseminated through internet media also came up. Bhagwat advised not to ignore information from internet media but to verify its truthfulness before believing it. He highlighted the importance of being cautious about the accuracy of information, noting that every piece of news is associated with some benefit or harm, thus necessitating a serious approach.
