Salman Khan News:  Days after the Maharashtra politician Baba Siddiqui was shot dead by Lawrence Bishnoi gang-linked contract killers for his alleged closeness to actor Salman Khan, Bollywood director and producer Ram Gopal Varma reacted to the incident, asking whether it is God playing a weird joke or peak animal love. The 'Aag' and 'Satya' fame director, known for his outspokenness lashed out at gangster Lawrence Bishnoi for his threats to Salman Khan.

This followed the murder of Baba Siddiqui, three-times MLA and leader of Ajit Pawar's NCP, who was killed on Saturday night by shooters linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang for alleged connection with underworld Don Dawood Ibrahim and Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.

'Lawrence Bishnoi-Salman Khan Issue A Ridiculous Script'

The popular director drew comparisons between Black Buck's grudge of Lawrence Bishnoi against Salman Khan to a Bollywood film, saying that if a Bollywood writer comes up with a story like this, he would be thrashed for writing the most 'unbelievable' and 'ridiculous' script ever.

"A lawyer turned gangster wants to take revenge for a deer's death by killing a superstar and, as a warning, orders some of his gang of 700, which he recruited through Facebook, to first kill a big politician who is a close friend of the star. The police can't catch him because he is under the protection of the government in jail, and his spokesman speaks from abroad," Ram Gopal Varma posted on X (formerly Twitter).

"If a Bollywood writer comes up with a story like this, they will thrash him for writing the most unbelievable and ridiculous story ever," he added.

'Peak Animal Love Or Weird Joke'

RGV also reacted to reports that Lawrence Bishnoi wants to take revenge for the 1998 killing of a Chinkara deer or black buck, in which Salman Khan is one of the accused persons. Lawrence Bishnoi was just 5 years old in 1998 during the time of the incident, now he says his life's goal is to kill Salman Khan, he said.

"Lawrence Bishnoi was just a 5-year-old kid when the deer was killed in 1998, and Bishnoi maintained his grudge for 25 years. Now, at age 30, he says that his life's goal is to kill Salman to take revenge for killing that deer. Is this animal love at its peak or is God playing a weird joke? The Bollywood director added."
