Salman Khan Lawrence Bishnoi News:  In a shocking revelation on Saturday, Navi Mumbai Police on Saturday claimed that jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was preparing to kill Bollywood star Salman Khan using the Turkey-made Zigana pistol. This came days after two shooters targeted Salman's residence at Bandra's Galaxy apartment in Mumbai. The attackers were later arrested by the Mumbai police, which is investigating the case.

The responsibility for the attack was claimed by the younger brother of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, Anmol Bishnoi in a Facebook post.

The disclosure came after the Navi Mumbai police hacked into the social media groups, including WhatsApp, of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The security agencies arrested four of its members for allegedly plotting to attack actor Salman Khan, an official said on Saturday.

The action comes months after the police made arrests in connection with a firing outside the actor's Bandra home in Mumbai.

Vivek Pansare, Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone II (Panvel), informed the media that in September-October last year, senior inspector Nitin Thackeray from the Panvel police station received intelligence about a plot to harm the actor.

Several Navi Mumbai police officers and informants infiltrated WhatsApp and other social media groups linked to the Bishnoi gang to monitor their communications, he said. Through this surveillance, the police discovered that four arrested gang members had scouted Salman's farmhouse in Panvel, the vicinity of his home in Bandra, Mumbai, and locations he visited for film shoots.

The gang members even attempted to procure weapons from abroad, he added. Following these findings, the police registered a case in April against 17 individuals, including Lawrence Bishnoi and his younger brother Anmol Bishnoi. On April 28, accused Dhananjay Tapesingh, alias Ajay Kashyap (28), was arrested in Panvel, and on the same day, Gaurav Bhatia, alias Sandeep Bishnoi, was apprehended in Gujarat, according to the official.
