She also pointed out that her husband chooses to dedicate his weekends to awareness work rather than leisure. “Conducting antidrugs awareness lectures and programs… talking to the youth, shaping their young minds," she wrote, ending her post with the hashtag #nashamuktbharatcampaign.
Sameer Wankhede Takes Legal Action Over Series
The former NCB officer has filed a plea in the Delhi High Court, stating that a character in the first episode is “heavily inspired” by his real-life role and wrongly portrays him as someone who unjustly targets Bollywood celebrities.

In his legal filing, Wankhede has named Shah Rukh Khan and Red Chillies Entertainment (Khan’s production house), claiming the show was “deliberately conceptualised and executed with the intent to malign his reputation.” He is seeking Rs 2 crore in damages.
Backstory: Aryan Khan Case
This controversy brings back memories of the high-profile Cordelia cruise ship raid in 2021, where Sameer Wankhede, then with the Narcotics Control Bureau, led the arrest of Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan. The case dominated headlines, with Aryan spending 25 days in jail before being released on bail. He was later cleared of all charges due to insufficient evidence.
However, in 2023, the tables turned. The CBI registered an FIR against Wankhede and four others, alleging they attempted to extort Rs 25 crore in exchange for dropping Aryan Khan’s name from the case, a claim Wankhede has strongly denied.
