Shahberi Flyover Approved: The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has approved the Shahberi Flyover project, which will help commuters from Ghaziabad and Greater Noida. The GDA has cleared the construction of a 200-meter-long ramp for the flyover on Ghaziabad land. This project will considerably aid in alleviating traffic congestion in Greater Noida West. The project has been on hold for several months due to a delay in approval. The Greater Noida administration has officially began building following approval from the Ghaziabad administration.

Shahberi Flyover Project: Timeline, Cost & More

According to DNA India, on the Detailed Project Report (DPR), an Expression of Interest (EOI) will be issued shortly. Before the construction work begins, the authority has submitted a proposal to the government to fix the budget and select the construction agency.

According to the reports, IIT Roorkee has assessed the feasibility for the flyover project. The institute has studied traffic, length, soil testing, potential construction obstacles, and other factors. The flyover's width will exceed 7.5 meters.

The new flyover is being built to alleviate the growing traffic congestion in Greater Noida West. Because it is located between Greater Noida, Noida, and Ghaziabad, Greater Noida West's traffic issues would be significantly reduced. For this reason, and to address a number of regional difficulties, a proposal has been made to construct a flyover on the road between Ghaziabad and Shahberi village.

Shahberi Flyover Approved: Why Was Project Delayed?

The Shahberi flyover project was delayed as the GDA was unwilling to connect the flyover, which is 2 kilometres long, directly to NH-24. However, the authority requested an NOC to construct a 200-meter-long ramp on the flyover, for which now the GDA has granted permission. The project also includes covering a drainage channel in Crossing Republic in Ghaziabad, and the vehicles will then be able to go smoothly after exiting the flyover.
