Amid reports that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will announce the name of the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister soon, Shivraj Singh Chouhan posted on Saturday the message "Sabhi ko Ram-Ram (`Ram Ram' to all)" on X. The post, accompanied by Chouhan's picture, sparked speculation as "Ram Ram" is used both as a greeting as well as a parting message.
BJP chief VD Sharma said that the MLAs and the top leadership of the party will decide the next chief minister of the state following the historic win of the saffron brigade in the polls. “The three (central) observers will arrive in Bhopal on Monday morning. The MLAs will meet at 4 pm to elect their leader. Invitations have been sent to the MLAs. The process of the party would be followed and a decision will be taken,” Sharma told reporters, as quoted by news agency PTI.

On being asked about the tweet of Shivraj Chouhan, he said, "This is (Lord) Ram's country. On January 22, a grand idol of Lord Ram will be consecrated at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. We greet each other in the morning by saying `Ram, Ram'. It is our culture to start the day with the name of Ram." The BJP is a cadre-based organisation and the party workers will accept and respect any decision taken by the leadership, he added.
"Our leadership...honourable prime minister, honourable Amit Shah ji, honorable BJP president J P Nadda and central leadership will take a call. The decision will be respected by the workers… our leadership will decide,” Sharma said.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to announce the Chief Minister for Madhya Pradesh in the state capital during the legislature party meeting. The meeting is scheduled to be held on Monday. It will be held at the BJP office in the state around 4 p.m. under the supervision of the three central observers appointed by the party.
The election for the 230 assembly seats in a single phase was conducted on November 17, and the counting was held on December 3. Congress got 66 seats in the election.
