A case has been filed against author Manjinder Singh Makha by Balkaur Singh Sidhu, the father of late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, for alleged misconduct in his book, Real Reason Why Legend Died. The book, which focuses on the life of the late singer, has been accused of presenting false information and misusing personal photographs.

Balkaur Singh alleges that Makha has presented false information in his book and has unlawfully taken childhood photographs of Sidhu Moose Wala from their family album for publication. He claims that Makha has retained all rights to the book, resulting in a financial loss of crores of rupees for the family.

In his complaint, Balkaur Singh stated that Makha frequented their home like other fans and used this access to steal personal photographs. He also stated that the book makes unfounded claims about Sidhu Moose Wala's connections to influential political leaders and gangsters, specifically citing pages 67 and 68, which contain comments on statements made by the DGP.

Balkaur Singh asserted that these allegations have tarnished the family's image and that the portrayal of Sidhu Moose Wala as anything other than a religious and God-fearing individual is misleading. He expressed that the book has caused significant emotional distress to the family and their supporters.
