The South Eastern Railways announced on Thursday that the 20828 Humsafar Express, which runs from Santragachi to Jabalpur via Tatanagar, will remain cancelled on February 21 as the third line will be built between Anuppur and New Katni stations on the Ghunghuti section of Bilaspur.
The down train will also continue to be cancelled on February 22. Girder work will be done on both the up and down lines, as well as the third line between Gudma and Amgaon stations in the Nagpur division. In such a case, the railway administration is assuming responsibility for the power block. In such a case, the 18109 Itwari Express from Tata to Itwari will be canceled on March 5, while the down train will be cancelled on March 7.
In response to the increased crowding on trains, the railway administration has announced the installation of additional coaches in ten trains. Additional coaches will be installed in the trains passing through Tatanagar on the 17th and 19th of February, in the 12222 Howrah-Pune Duronto Express on the 17 and 20 February, and in the 12262 Howrah-CSTM on February 19.
In Bihar, the stoppage of train number 15231 Gondia Express at Dalsingh Sarai station under the Sonpur division of East Central Railway was officially inaugurated on Wednesday by Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai.
In addition to Hajipur BJP MLA Awadhesh Kumar Singh, MLC Dr Tarun Chaudhary, Senior DCM Roshan Kumar, Divisional Railway Manager of Sonpur Division Vivek Bhushan Sood, and other branch officers were present on this occasion.
Speaking to the crowd, the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs announced that under the Amrit Bharat station scheme, construction has begun at Dalsingh Sarai station to build a magnificent shopping mall and that 100 shops and goods will soon be built for the convenience of passengers. For lakhs of people in the area, this will mean both direct and indirect employment opportunities.
