New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: Remembering Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on his 123rd anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid respect to the freedom fighter whose slogan ‘tum mujhe khoon do, main tumhe aazdi dunga’ sparked patiotism in the hearts of many Indians. PM Modi shared a video a 1.55 minute long video on Twitter and listed the contributions of Netaji in the freedom struggle and recalled his dedication to get freedom for the country.

PM Modi also tweeted a note written by Netaji's father Jankinath Bose at the time of his birth. “On 23rd January 1897, Janakinath Bose wrote in his diary, ‘A son was born at midday.’ This son became a valorous freedom fighter and thinker who devoted his life towards one great cause- India’s freedom. I refer to Netaji Bose, who we proudly remember on his Jayanti toda,” PM Modi wrote.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also paid tribute to Subhash Chandra Bose, saying that Netaji’s sacrifice and contribution is an inspiration to all.

Union Ministers Piyush Goyal and Kiren Rijiju also paid tribute to Netaji on his birth anniversary.
“Heartfelt tributes to the great patriot, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his Jayanti. An exceptional freedom fighter and leader, his patriotic zeal and valour continues to serve as a beacon of inspiration for all of us,” Goyal tweeted.

Rijiju also took to the micro-blogging site and wrote, “My deepest respect and salute to the great son of India, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary. A rich tribute to the hero of India's Independence movement.”

Congress leader Manish Tiwari also paid respect Subhash Chandra Bose and said he exemplified patriotism and duty towards the nation like no one else.

Today is the 123rd birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Netaji was one of the most admired freedom fighters in India and he inspired thousands to join the freedom movement against the Britishers.
