In a similar incident, in February this year, hundreds of villagers suffered food poisoning after consuming 'prasad' during a religious event held in Lonar taluka in Maharashtra's Buldhana district.

However, due to a shortage of beds, many patients had to receive treatment outside the hospital premises. Shocking visuals emerged depicting the dire situation, with hundreds of patients lying on the ground while saline bottles were suspended from trees using ropes for treatment.
