The complainant stated that she offered to pay the whole amount by UPI, but due to technical issues, the postal payment was marked as denied. She stated in her complaint that lakhs of transactions occur every day, and if less than the whole amount is shown, the government will suffer a significant loss of income. She called it unlawful and said that it was causing her severe mental suffering.

At the same time, the postal agency informed the consumer forum that digital payments were not accepted at the time for technical reasons. As a result, cash was taken from the consumers. They claimed that 50 paise was automatically rounded off in the postal software, but that amount was being shown separately in the counter account submission, therefore their complaint is not valid.

Meanwhile, the Postal Department has a good news for investors. The Postal Department will provide SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) services now. The Postal Department has created an app and site to facilitate this. It is anticipated that this facility will be available by the end of this year.
